Tours of Building Outside the Lines projects are now available!
In Spearfish, every day at 8:30, you’ll leave from Blackbird Espresso (S1E7). You’ll follow our guide to several projects and the tour will conclude around 11:30 at Shortgrass (Cappie and Rachel’s resort), home of the Greenhouse (S2E12) and Dock (S2E7). Final episode selection will be announced after Season 3 airs from 30 December 2025 through February 2026.

Projects by Cappie and Alex
Cappie has been building his entire life, starting as a teenager, helping his Grandpa and Dad. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force and saw different building techniques around the world and was inspired to bring some of these ideas back to his hometown of Spearfish, South Dakota. Alex came into Cappie's life when she was six and immediately began to help him on the jobsite - being so small she had to roll down the window in his truck with her foot, because she couldn't reach the handle. Now, she is an integral part of the team, and they have built many projects together.
